Presidential aide confirms Buhari to leave Nigeria for medical leave abroad
– Onochie says it is wrong of Nigerians to share strong opinions on President Buhari’s health when they really know nothing about it
– She says President Buhari is working daily because the presidency is a team and not just about one man
– Onochie implored Nigerians to believe the submission of the president’s wife about her husband’s health because naturally she should know
The Presidency has confirmed that President Muhammadu Buhari will depart Nigeria for a medical leave abroad when the time is right.
Personal assistant to President Buhari on social media Lauretta Onochie disclosed this on Thursday, May 4.
She said no amount of force can make the president step out of the country until when his doctors say it is all right to do so.
Onochie tweeted the information in reaction to the live interview of Adetokunbo Mumuni, the executive director of Socio-Economic Right Accountability Project (SERAP) on Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily.
She wondered why Mumuni was speaking authoritatively over the president’s health when he was not close to the presidency.
Onochie said since the First Lady Aisha Buhari had spoken about her husband’s health as being much better than widely reported, then Nigerians should believe that.
She concluded that the President has been working contrary to widespread reports that he was at home unable to move.
