Paris Saint-Germain’s strike force of Neymar, Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe are in blistering form and with 29 goals are joint highest scorers in Europe’s five top leagues alongside Manchester City.
In the Champions League, PSG are also the highest scorers with 12 goals from three matches and their front three look like they have been playing with one another for years, rather than a matter of months.
The MCN’s six games
They have played just six games together and in these they have accumulated an impressive 17 goals.
“Cavani is an excellent player and Kylian is a star,” said Neymar.
“We still have a lot to improve and we need to work on our movements.”
Despite the Brazilian’s words, the numbers suggest otherwise and the dispute between him and Cavani has been left to rest.
The ‘MCN’ are a force to be reckoned with and of PSG’s 43 goals this season they are directly responsible for 58% of those.
“I am very happy with the individual performances but we have to make progress as a collective,” said Unai Emery.
In Anderlecht, Mbappe became the highest scoring teenager in the history of the Champions League and Cavani scored for the seventh game in a row, while Neymar moved within touching distance of reaching double figures.
One thing is for sure, three is not a crowd in Paris.
