The Benue State University has  informed all newly admitted students that the deadline for payment of School fees for the 2017/2018 academic session is Wednesday, 16th May 2018. In a statement issued by Mrs Catherine Bur on behalf of the Vice chancellor, students who do not pay on or before this date should be prepared to forfeit their admission.
All newly admitted students are therefore, enjoined to take this notice seriously as the University will not extend the deadline.

It can be recalled that the school was shut down for two weeks last semester as students protested the no-school-fees-no-exam campaign of the management.

In a chat with a member of the Student Union executive who pleaded anonymity, he expressed concern over the recent development. He also said this is the first of it’s kind since the inception of the school and that the management is looking for nothing but a mass protest. In his words, ‘how does he expect freshers to pay fees within two weeks of resumption in a state where salaries are not being paid and the farmers have been displaced by the Fulani herdsmen.?’ Neither the Student Union President nor Secretary could be found at press time.
